Duffle bag.
After making the flower bag, I decided to do the second poll option too. (If you're new here, check out previous updates and read about this poll.)
So 24% of the followers involved voted for the duffel bag. And, to be honest, it gave me such a good feeling to read how many people were involved in the poll that I decided to make the duffel bag.

Duffle bag specifics.
Apart from the fact that it is designed for all the days you need to carry more than just your phone, keys, and wallet.
Outside: Made from heavy linen with a black and blue jeans accent. The bag is padded to protect against impact.
Inside: Lining is made from black jeans and it contains two big pockets.

Flower bag!
Of course, I had to make a flower bag. After the peplum flower shirt I did earlier this year, I got all inspired by flowers.
I drew a flower bag in my sketchbook and made it an option for my Instagram followers to choose from in the poll I told you about in the previous update: A big piece of heavy linen.
76% of the votes went to the flower bag, and yes, I made one.
Like with the peplum flower shirt, I wanted to use the sashiko stitches on the flower. I think the outcome of this technique in the flowercore looks exactly like the seeds of a sunflower.
I love it.
Specifics of the flower bag.
Inside: The bag is big enough to carry a small laptop. The padded lining protects against impact. Inside, it has a small pocket as well as two sections divided by padded jeans.
Outside: A stunning flower with a sashiko stitch core. Turning heads for sure!

A big piece of heavy linen.
A friend gave me a big piece of heavy linen fabric. She must have bought it second-hand at some point, and it had been lying in her attic for a long time. She now gave it to me because, for sure, something would be made from it. I washed and ironed it.
On my Instagram account, I created a poll story for followers to co-decide on what to make.
provided options for the customer to choose from, including the type of bag to make, the color of hardware to use, and the color of denim lining, among other questions.
The outcome of the poll I incorporated into the next bags that I made. Stay tuned, I will also share these with you.

Give me a shirt and a skirt, and I will give you a peplum and a flower.
Yeah, well, the shirt was too long, the skirt wasn't really all that, and the shashiko embroidery was a technique on my wishlist.
These three ingredients apparently mix very well. I love how this turned out. It's like a piece of wearable art.

A 100% cotton jacket featuring a heart-shaped patch sewn directly on the back, along with an accent on the collar.
Both details are crafted from fabric scraps, which are always in abundance in my sewing studio.
